Description
In the past decades, the muon g-2 has attracted a lot of attention as a powerful probe
of physics beyond the Standard Model. However, in light of the updated SM value and
final result of the Fermilab measurement, its impact on a wide range of BSM scenarios
has to be reevaluated.
In this talk I discuss how g-2 connects to a number of complementary observables
relevant in searches for new physics, and give an overview of the status for several
well motivated extensions of the Standard Model, emphasising the difference between
the WP20 and WP25 results.
