From the North Parking Garage to the trail head (Mansfield Hollow State Park). Note, you must continue past the first parking area to the one at the other end of the field. The trail begins there.

About restaurants and supermarkets that may be helpful when you arrive on Sunday. There are many restaurants near the university (if you are staying at the Graduate Inn or nearby). If you are staying at the Inn on Storrs, see the list here which also includes Willimantic. Near the university we like Kathmandu and Red Rock Cafe. In Willimantic we like the Willimantic Brewing Company and Cinco de Mayo. Close to the Inn the Fenton River Grill is also a good choice. The Price Chopper supermarket and CVS (pharamcy) are located in Storrs, and there is a Big Y supermarket near the Inn on Storrs.
