Description
I will report on the launch of the lattice QCD project by the PACS Collaboration (PACSc) for muon g-2 precision physics in collaboration with the J-PARC experiments. Using the Fugaku supercomputer, the PACSc has generated PACS10 gauge ensembles by adopting the stout-smeared O(a) improved Wilson-clover quark action and the Iwasaki gauge action at the physical pion/kaon masses on the lattice with the spatial extent of 10 fm for lattice spacings 0.09 fm (128^4), 0.06 fm (160^4), and 0.04 fm (256^4). The flavor contents are Nf=2+1 and Nf=2+1+1. This opens a new possibility to calculate hadronic contributions to the muon g-2 and related quantities with precision required by the J-PARC and FNAL measurements. I will how the motivation, strategy, and the roadmap. As a first step, the PACSc focuses on the pion form factor and its comparison with results by data-deiven approaches, with the goal of clarifying the origin of tensions reported in the muon g-2.
