Description

We study a linear combination of $a_e$ and $a_\mu$ that utilizes the strong correlation between the hadronic contributions to both anomalous magnetic moments. This subtracted observable potentially reduces the uncertainties associated with higher energy contributions, and may help address the current discrepancy between lattice and data-driven evaluations, through improved measurements of $a_e$ and the fine-structure constant.
